With the fall of the county line ballot system, the kingmakers in New Jersey primaries are now voters rather than party bosses. But with a first-past-the-post voting system, candidates this year have won with less than one-third of the vote. Can New Jersey find a way to give winning candidates a broader mandate? A veteran political reporter and two reform advocates will discuss practical paths forward.
Sam Wang, Director, Electoral Innovation Lab
Colleen O'Dea, Senior Writer and Projects Editor at NJ Spotlight News
Dave Daley, Senior Fellow at FairVote
