Join Dr. Carla Salas-Ruiz and members of the Program for Excellence in Piano Study for a special program celebrating the contributions of women composers. The recital features works by Valerie Capers, Amy Beach, Donna Gray, and others whose artistry has influenced musical traditions from the early Romantic era to the present. Performers will also share brief insights into their study of these works, reflecting on each composer’s distinctive voice and the evolving role of women in music history.
