The documentary "The Librarians," which highlights the role of librarians in the fight for First Amendment Rights, is screened for Banned Books Week. Limited free tickets for library cardholders.
In partnership with Labyrinth Books and the Princeton Garden Theatre, join us for a special Banned Books Week screening of "The Librarians," a new documentary from Oscar-nominated filmmaker Kim A. Snyder. The film follows librarians across Texas, Florida, New Jersey, and beyond as they stand up against the surge in book bans and defend First Amendment rights amidst growing censorship in schools, libraries, and bookstores nationwide.
The screening will include a round of Banned Books trivia. The film will be introduced by Janie Hermann of Princeton Public Library and Alyssa Kopyani of Labyrinth Books.
Limited free tickets for library cardholders will be available at the second floor Information Desk one week prior to the screening date. Limit is two tickets per library cardholder.
To purchase tickets, please visit the theater's website.
Banned Books Week highlights the value of free and open access to information and brings together the entire book community to support the freedom to seek and to express ideas.
