"Going to Mars: the Nikki Giovanni Project" (1 hour, 42 min., NR) is look at the life of poet, Nikki Giovanni and the revolutionary historical periods through which she lived, from the Civil Rights Movement to Black Lives Matter. 

About the Event:

Reel Inquiry: A Weekend of Arts & Humanities on Screen connects a series of films, both documentaries and features, exploring painting, poetry, music and the art of the spoken word through film. This series is offered in observance of National Arts & Humanities Month, "a collective recognition of the importance of culture," according to Americans for the Arts.
