Learn how to make make and manage a "Bee Hotel" to accommodate solitary bees such as Mason Bees and Leafcutter bees in your garden in this hands on workshop.
Not all bees live in a colony. Some bees are solitary and need small spaces to hatch their larvae. During this workshop participants will make a bee hotel for their garden using bamboo, paper straws, twigs, tin cans and twine to create a safe place for those busy bees!
Registration is required. This workshop is intended for teens and adults; all children 12 and under must attend with an adult.
This workshop is part of our series examining pollinators and the importance of wildflowers in conjunction with our Pollination Investigation exhibit on the 2nd Floor of the library.
