Join the Princeton University Robotics Club for interactive robotics demonstrations.
Participating teams include:
PacBot: This project team competes in the Pacbot Competition — a real-life robotics spin on the classic Pacman arcade game. The robot, about the size of your palm, navigates a complex maze to collect pellets and score points, all while dodging four simulated ghosts.
Droid: The BB-8 Droid Team is building a life-size, functional version of the iconic BB-8 from Star Wars. Using the BB-8 Builders Club framework, the team is adding computer vision to help the droid avoid obstacles and respond to hand gestures. The goal is a fully interactive droid for outreach events like children's hospital visits and fan conventions.
WALL-E: Launched in Fall 2024, this team is creating a compact, autonomous waste-collecting rover inspired by WALL-E. It will be capable of retracting into a box, picking up trash, avoiding obstacles, and more.
Tinker: Tinker focuses on repairing broken devices such as iPods, laptops, and Wii consoles — giving old tech a new life.
Exo: This team is developing a full-body robotic exoskeleton inspired by Iron Man, integrated with an EEG brain interface. The system will adapt to user movements and support non-touch control, aiming for accessibility and innovation.
Bionics: The Princeton Bionics Team is working on a myoelectric prosthetic hand that uses machine learning to interpret muscle signals more precisely. The goal is to create a highly adaptive and intuitive experience for users.
Drone: The Drone Team is tackling two projects: one is a tail-sitter drone that takes off vertically and transitions to forward flight; the other is an autonomous drone charging station for hands-free operations.
