A reading of Chapter 10 of "The Lightning Thief" by Rick Riordan is followed by a fun, interactive cooking class featuring recipes related to the book. For grades 3-5. Registration required.

"The Lightning Thief" is the first book in Rick Riordan's bestselling "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series.

During Cooks + Books sessions, young chefs explore new flavors, try out simple cooking skills and create globally inspired, nut-free, allergy-friendly dishes while learning about nutrition, kitchen safety, math and world cultures.

This session's recipes are Percy’s Perfect Personal Pan Pizzas, Green Greek God Salad and Mt. Olympus Honey Lemon Yogurt Smoothies.

Cooks + Books is presented by Sticky Fingers Cooking, Central New Jersey.
