NewsroomLearn how generative AI tools are impacting election manipulation and how to detect and report AI-driven misinformation.
With open-source chatbot technology becoming more common, it is becoming simpler and cheaper to repurpose generative AI models for disinformation activities, significantly boosting efforts to sway and deceive voters. This presentation and discussion will focus on how Generative AI tools are starting to transform the landscape of election manipulation by exploring case studies and examples of how this manipulation is already showing up in the U.S. and abroad. Strategies and tools for detecting and reporting AI-driven misinformation such as “deep fakes,” as well as credible resources for election and voting information, will be shared.
