Claire Legrand, New York Times bestselling author of the Empirium Trilogy, makes her adult hardcover debut with "A Crown of Ivy and Glass," a series starter that will appeal to fans of "Bridgerton" and "A Court of Thorns and Roses."
The novel is the first in a new fantasy-romance series centering around three sisters in a noble magic family that must fight to protect their home from invasion by the creatures of the Old Country — the realm of the gods and the birthplace of magic—before the weakening Middlemist, the boundary dividing the two worlds, disappears forever. Each book in Legrand’s "Middlemist Trilogy" is inspired by a different classic romantic ballet: "Giselle," "The Firebird," and "Swan Lake."
Claire will be in conversation with Anica Mrose Rissi. A book signing will follow.
Claire Legrand used to be a musician until she realized she couldn’t stop thinking about the stories in her head. She is also one of the four authors behind "The Cabinet of Curiosities," a critically acclaimed anthology of short stories for young readers.
