Princeton Juneteenth Block Party

A day of celebration, remembrance and activism

Celebrate the cultural achievements of Black Americans at the second annual Princeton Juneteenth Block Party.

Come listen to Black poets, musicians, speakers and activists while also learning how to take action in your own communities, both geographically and socially. 

Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day and Jubilee Day, is a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Watch Talking About Juneteenth  on the library's YouTube channel. This video features Princeton community leaders and historian Dawn Wisteria Bates talking about the history of Juneteenth and its significance in the ongoing struggle for true freedom and equality for Black Americans.
