About the book:

In her mid-20s, the author, who is from Provence, gets a job in Oslo, Norway. This marks a transformative year, resulting in this delightful book that gives readers a first-hand account of what it is like to spend a year in Norway. Desjardins navigates the people, language and Scandinavian culture.
