The library is partnering with Princeton University Concerts for our inaugural session of this new book group series. This discussion is offered in advance of Pianist Mishka Rushdie Momen: In Conversation and Performance with Princeton University Concerts on Nov. 1. About the book:
Speaking out for the first time...about the traumatic events of Aug. 12, 2022, Salman Rushdie answers violence with art, and reminds us of the power of words to make sense of the unthinkable. Knife is a...meditation on life, loss, love, art-and finding the strength to stand up again.

About the book:
"Mother Mary Comes to Me" draws on multiple strands of the author's early years, unveiling an empathetic, yet marvelously satirical portrait of an eccentric extended family with a fondness for spectacular family feuds.
