Discover creative art journaling with collage artist Kara DeJesus. Explore different journaling techniques and create your own journal using paper, stickers, magazines and more. Materials provided.

About the Workshop: 

Starting an art journal is a creative way to capture memories, explore ideas and express yourself. In this hands-on workshop for adults and teens ages 16 and up, collage artist and lifelong journal devotee Kara DeJesus will introduce different approaches to art journaling and guide participants in creating their own journals. Experiment with collage, paper, stickers, magazines and other materials to make a journal that is uniquely yours. No previous art or journaling experience is necessary. Journals and all art materials will be provided, just bring your creativity and curiosity.

About the Instructor:

Kara DeJesus is a collage artist from Hunterdon County that has been making art with paper for over 20 years. Kara loves nothing more than using magazines and paper to make something new, and loves to share her passion for the art of collage with others. She also shares her art on her YouTube channel, Kara's Paper Art. When she's not gluing things to paper, Kara edits and publishes her own zine, works full time in an office setting, and is currently pursuing her Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts.
