Participants listen to and discuss short stories in this six-week series facilitated by Ellen Gilbert.
Each week participants will read and discuss a different short story by both distinguished and up-and-coming writers. No preparation is necessary, nor is a background in literary studies. Copies of each story will be distributed to each person, and after hearing it read aloud, participants will discuss its meaning and language, and consider how it resonates with this challenging time in all of our lives.
All ages and backgrounds are welcome; diversity is critical to meaningful conversations.
About the Facilitator: Ellen Gilbert has a doctorate in library science and has a passion for leading short story discussions.
Presented with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities: Any views, findings, conclusions or recommendations expressed in this programming do not necessarily represent those of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
