Comedian and actress Madelein Smith discusses why it is important to see positive queer representation in media.

With a decade of experience and a dynamic stage presence, Madelein Smith has conquered comedy stages around the globe. Her debut album, "Belle of the Ball," even soared to #1 on the iTunes Comedy Charts. Madelein delights audiences with her fast paced, quick witted crowd work. She is also an accomplished writer, having sold a network pilot in 2020. She created this educational talk, "The Importance of Queer Storytelling," that she now presents at colleges and libraries.
This program is part of National Library Week, an annual observance sponsored by the American Library Association during April that highlights the essential role of libraries and encourages communities to explore all that their local library has to offer.
