Drop-in to meet our summer artists and view their exhibits. Karen Stolper's "In Lunch with Love" is on display in the Reading Room and Minako Ota's "Our Innner Ocean" is in the Technology Center.
The library's second floor art galleries have new art for the summer. This informal art open house gives you a chance to view the new exhibits and chat with the artists while enjoying lemonade and cookies.
Karen Stolper's series, "In Lunch with Love", began as drawings created on Post It Notes, which she tucked into her two daughters’ lunch boxes every day for 12 years. Her project is about all the big days and many little things that make a family, and make a life.
Minako Ota's exhibit, "Our Inner Ocean", features marine creatures and ties in perfectly with the 2022 "Oceans Of Possibilities" summer reading theme. Minako created the paintings at the onset of the pandemic with the hope to inspire people to live more fully and joyously, no matter their circumstances.
