Jim McCloskey, founder of Princeton's Centurion Ministries, discusses his new book, "When Truth is All You Have," with John Grisham. An exclusive virtual event via Zoom. Registration required.
The authors and criminal justice reform advocates discuss their work and writing. Grisham's minister-turned-prisoner-advocate in "The Guardians" was inspired by McCloskey.
In “When Truth Is All You Have: A Memoir of Faith, Justice and Freedom for the Wrongly Convicted,” McCloskey, founder of the first organization in the United States committed to freeing the wrongly imprisoned, offers a candid and compassionate chronicle of devotion, sacrifice, and vindication.
McCloskey served in the U.S. Navy, patrolling rivers in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam, and spent 12 years in international consulting. He has a master's of divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. Today, McCloskey is retired from active oversight of Centurion, though he continues to pursue cases.
John Grisham is the author of 34 novels, one work of nonfiction, a collection of stories, and seven novels for young readers.
This event is presented in partnership between the library, Labyrinth Books and Doubleday. Books by Jim McCloskey and John Grisham are available through Labyrinth Books.
