Myra & Van Williams Spark LabParticipants join a five-week course introducing Latin as a language for reading, writing and communication and exploring Roman culture.
Weekly meetings led by student volunteers support independent study through interactive learning and games. Sessions of "Elementa" at the library are organized into five-week units, in order to allow for intermittent commitments. Learners should be able to complete the entire course over the span of a single semester of a school year.
"Elementa" is designed for teens in the middle school years. High school age and mature learners interested in studying Latin should contact the instructor by email: humanities@princetonlibrary.org.
To learn more about the "Elementa" curriculum, see the Paideia Institute's webpage for the course.
