Bainy Suri of Eco Community Solutions presents "No Waste JerZ," a presentation and workshop designed to share innovative ideas to eliminate waste and encourage composting.
Food and food scraps, paper, wood, leaves and much more are produced from living organisms. By design, they can go back into our earth. This session includes an overview of the dos and don'ts of composting followed by a workshop that will get you on the road to composting in your own backyard.
About the presenter:
Bainy Suri, Esq. is an activist, attorney and lobbyist dedicated to finding creative an innovative ways to tackle waste issues, including authoring the first plastic pollution ordinance in New Jersey in 2011. She holds a J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law, studied at The London School of Economics and received her BA in Economics from Simmons College in Boston. In 2014, she was awarded a Fellowship to attend the Earth Institute, Columbia University Sustainability Essentials Training Program. In 2020 she became certified in Organic Land Care Management by NOFA. In 2022 she started learning Spanish with the goal of one day being bilingual.
