In celebration of Earth Day 2023, The Friends of Herrontown Woods and Princeton Public Library invite you to join us for a day of exploring and learning in nature:
9 - 10 a.m. & 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Flowers and Frogs Family Hike, with local botanists Stephen Hiltner and other local naturalists. Hike is moderate. Boots/galoshes recommended! Sign up information here
9 a.m. - 3 p.m. May’s Café popup will be serving Small World Coffee, baked treats, and lunch fare through the day.
9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Talk with inventor and founder of the Hydrogen House Project, Mike Strizki, as he gives a presentation of his Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. Main parking lot, next to the Barden.
10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Visit local experts at hands-on display tables in the Botanical Art Garden (Barden) and near the Veblen House
10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Join Princeton Public Library staff for Earth Day-themed crafting and activities.
1 p.m. Outdoor Storytime with Princeton Public Library at the Barden
1 - 3 p.m. Geology Walk - learn about the formation of the Princeton Ridge and its special rocks. This event will have limited capacity.
