Celebrate Princeton’s LGBTQIA+ community with music, art activities and neighborhood nonprofits at this family-friendly event. Rain date is June 11.
You’re invited to gather in the Princeton Family YMCA’s expansive field to enjoy tunes from DJ Linda Leigh, make your mark on a collaborative community mural, take part in a variety of activities and go home with fun giveaways.
Families are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy on the grass, and local food vendors will be present to add tasty treats to your dinner!
Mayor Mark Freda and other local dignitaries will be in attendance as well as representatives from the Princeton Police Department and Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad. Local nonprofits will have tables with activities and information for attendees.
Nonprofits: Princeton High School GSA, PUMS SAGA, PFLAG Princeton, I Support the Girls - Central/South New Jersey, Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice, Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton Rainbow Ministry, Nassau Presbyterian Church, Princeton Mutual Aid, CASA for Children, and Inspired Threads
Artists: 7ovechild (Marlon Davila) will lead the community in creating a large mural and participants will have a chance to get a caricature drawn by illustrator Rashad Malik Davis
Food Vendors: Tico's Juice Truck, Deputy Dawg Hot Dog Cart, the bent spoon, and Milk and Cookies

This free event is a community collaboration coordinated by the Princeton Public Library, Princeton Family YMCA, Arts Council of Princeton, HiTOPS, Princeton Civil Rights Commission, Corner House Behavioral Health and McCarter Theatre Center.
The Princeton Community Pride Picnic will follow current COVID-19 safety protocols.
