Local artist Barbara DiLorenzo creates a painting of the Lending Desk while interacting with patrons about her process and answering questions.

Join Barbara DiLorenzo, our current maker-in-residence, for this informal drop-in session where you can watch her paint and learn more about her techniques and creative process. Barbara will be on the first floor of the library and welcomes questions and conversation about her approach to painting, creating picture books and building a career as an artist.

DiLorenzo, the author and illustrator of several books for children, teaches drawing and painting classes at the Arts Council of Princeton and supports graphic design students at the New York Institute of Art + Design. She also leads online drawing programs for the Princeton University Art Museum several times yearly. This summer, "The Places We Shop - Princeton Series," an exhibit of her paintings of local retailers, is on view in the Technology Center and second floor History Hallway.
