Tigertown Classic Jazz, a six-piece band that plays traditional jazz music from the 1920s to the 1940s, will perform on Hinds Plaza. The concert will be rescheduled in case of inclement weather.
Tigertown Classic Jazz Band plays music from the first third of the twentieth century during this concert that explores the roots of jazz, including the music of New Orleans, Dixieland, and swing. It's nostalgic and relevant at the same time. People of all ages will be drawn to the unique rhythms, lyrics, and melodies, with toes tapping and smiles on their faces.
Featuring: Audrey Spies (percussion); Dotty Westgate (piano/vocals); Jerry D'Anna (string bass); Pete Reichlin (trombone); Scott Ricketts, (trumpet/cornet); Warren Fioretti (clarinet/sax).
In the event of rain or extreme heat, the concert will be rescheduled.
The final concert in the series will take place on Sept. 8 and features classic rock by The Rebound.
