The group discusses "The Last Fire Season: A Personal and Pyronatural History" by Manjula Martin. Registration requested, but not required.
This group brings members of the Princeton community together to read, analyze, and chat about contemporary feminist texts through the lens of five topics: creation, care, community, climate, and computation. We'll also get meta and explore the fascinating literary and cultural history of book discussion groups, which have long served as spaces where women and other marginalized groups have found connection, fostered discoveries about themselves and others, and kindled political and social activism.
We welcome women – trans and cis–and non-binary and gender non-conforming folks, as well as allies of all genders.
Copies of the selected title, Manjula Martin's "The Last Fire Season," have been made available for borrowing from the library.
This book list shows the titles previously read for the meetings held on Nov. 11, Jan. 13, Mar. 3 and Apr. 7.
