Artist Gwenn Seemel leads a hands-on art workshop where teens ages 14+ will create a surreal self portrait. All materials will be provided. Registration required.
Participants will use paint sticks, markers and other materials in the 90-minute workshop. Inspired by the art exhibit "Everything's Fine" on display in the second floor Reading Room.
The exhibit is a series of surreal paintings about mental health funded in part by the Puffin Foundation. It’s called "Everything’s Fine," the artist says, because the reality is that everything’s not fine. It includes paintings like this one of a very divided panda and other works that make you stop and think about what we mean when tell others that everything's fine.
