Holly Korbey, journalist and author of "Building Better Citizens: A New Civics Education for All," presents the second lecture of the "So You Think You Know Civics?" Series.

We’ve all heard “a government for the people by the people.” But what does this really mean?

Join Morven and the Princeton Public Library as we kick off a brand new series, "So You Think You Know Civics?" This series of free public programs will unpack big questions about the past and present of the U.S. government, and how we can make change in our democracy.

Our speaker for the second program in the series, "What is a Citizenship?" is Holly Korbey, journalist and author of "Building Better Citizens: A New Civics Education for All."

Explore the meaning of citizenship and its connections to civics education in America. What is the role of a citizen? Who is included and excluded from citizenship? How can education help shape engaged citizens?

This event is all virtual - held via Zoom webinar. A Q&A session will follow the presentation. A webinar link will be shared upon registration. A recording of the event will be shared following the program.

Please see below a list of upcoming programs in the series. Attendees who attend all five programs (virtually and/or in-person) will receive a free "So You Think You Know Civics?" t-shirt.
